LINE OF SIGHT

TREES BLOCKING VITAL TELECOMS SIGNALS BETWEEN TWO MASTS... RESTORING THE LINK

Our dedicated Line of Sight team offers a comprehensive turnkey service for resolving obstacles that may hinder the 5G telecoms signal transmission. We specialise in identifying and addressing issues such as trees blocking the link.

From obtaining landowners necessary permissions to co-ordinating the tree work; our team takes care of the entire process. With our national arborist team, we ensure efficient and effective tree management to optimise signal connectivity.

EMERGENCY SERVICES NETWORKS (ESN)

For Emergency Services Network (ESN) sites, we provide specialised services tailored to meet the unique requirements of these critical infrastructure locations. Our team conducts thorough tree owner searches and identification to determine ownership and responsibility. We also co-ordinate tree work activities to ensure minimal disruption to the ESN sites while maintaining optimal signal transmission.

TREE PRESERVATION ORDERS (TPO's) & CONSERVATION AREAS

In addition to tree work coordination, we assist with navigating Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and Conservation Area regulations. Our team conducts searches to identify any TPOs or Conservation Areas that may impact tree management activities. We also prepare and submit Tree Preservation & Conservation Planning Applications to ensure compliance with local regulations.

LAND REGISTRY SEARCHES

As part of our comprehensive service, we conduct land registry searches to gather essential information about land ownership. This helps us streamline the process and ensure all necessary permissions are obtained for tree work activities.

FAIR COMPENSATION WITH LANDOWNERS

Furthermore, we offer expertise in compensation negotiation and payment for tree removal or pruning. Our team can assist in assessing the value of the trees and negotiate fair compensation with landowners, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory resolution.

TREE RE-PLANTING

Lastly, we understand the importance of environmental sustainability and tree conservation. As part of our service, we provide tree re-planting options to mitigate the impact of any tree removal and maintain the ecological balance in the area.

It is always better to trim and reduce trees rather than  cutting them down completely. This approach not only preserves the natural environment but also contributes to the balance of the ecosystem.

Tree planting success depends primarily on the care of the root system before and after transplanting. As professionals we need focus on after care as much the planting process itself.

Trust our Line of Sight team at Hortech for a comprehensive range of services, from identifying obstacles to completing tree work, ensuring optimal signal transmission and compliance with regulations.

TREES & MAST DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUR 5G MOBILE PHONE NETWORK

Each development will be different, however, in most cases, telecoms sites that contain trees will require the following documents in accordance with to accompany your planning application:

  • Tree Constraints Plan
BS5837 tree surveys and tree constraints plan drawings are required for most planning applications where trees are on or adjacent to your site.
  • Arboricultural Impact Assessment, Arboricultural Method Statement & Tree Protection Plan
We overlay your proposed scheme drawings onto your tree constraints plan and produce a tree retention/removal balance that is likely to be defensible at planning.

  • Arboricultural Supervision and Site Monitoring
Your local authority may condition that tree protective measures are periodically inspected, or that you have complex operations (such as pile installation) in proximity to trees supervised by an arboriculturist.
